As the founder and President of Charles Management Consulting

Group, Nick Charles brings an array of knowledge in program and client management.

He has over 20 years providing various  levels of acquisition management and program

management to the federal, state, and local government. His expertise ranges from his time

as a civil service employee within the Department of Defense, an active duty and National

Guard military member, and contractor for top 100 military contracting firms. He has worked in

the Accessions & Separations Directorate of the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel,

Military Policy Division; 60th Fighter Squadron; 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron;

Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, and Acquisition Chief System

Engineer's Office; PMS 420 Littoral Combat Ship Mission Module Program Office, PEO IWS

2.0 Dual Band Radar Program, PMS 377 Ship to Shore Connector Program, PMS 400D

DDG 51 Program Office, METRO's Bus Procurement Division, and EPA OSDBU.

 

As a service member, his meritorious service with the 60th Fighter Squadron during Operation

Noble Eagle for Air Patrol Missions over the Nation’s Capital and Air Force One following 9/11

garnered him recognition with the presentation of the Air Force Achievement Medal. His 

efforts in the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron were instrumental in the declaration of the

F-22A Initial Operational Capability resulting in another presentation of the Air Force

Achievement Medal. While at the  Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research,

Development, and Acquisition Chief System Engineer's Office, Mr. Charles was

recognized as one of Naval Sea Systems Command 21st Century Leaders in NAVSEAs

publication On Watch. Mr. Charles has also been recognized for superior service

by PEO IWS 2.0 Government Leadership.

 

Mr. Charles is also a Maryland State Delegate serving on the Ways and Means Committee and serves as the Chairman for the Prince George's County House Delegation. He brings his procurement background to the legislature serving as the sole house member on Maryland's Procurement Improvement Council. He serves on the board for the Greater Baden Medical Services, Community Legal Services, and Children's Rights Fund of Maryland, and various committees connected to improving the lives of the youth with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity inc.
